Cotton Candy Anyone?

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend if you were in the US. Boy it was a hot one that is for sure. Calendar still says it is spring but it felt like summer all weekend long.

My card today is for Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog. The challenge was to use pearls and flowers and of course one of Mo's super cute images.

I have colored her with my Copic Markers. The paper collection is by K and Company call Sweet Nectar. It is a very pretty collection. The flowers are a combo of Wild Orchid Crafts and I am Roses as well as some Recollections.

The butterfly was made using a Martha Stewart punch. I added stickles to the body in cotton candy. Very appropriate color for this card. LOL

I modified a SCS sketch a bit. Over all I am pretty happy with it.

Thanks for stopping by.

White with a punch of color

Hi There,

At least it is Thursday. Wow I can't believe that this weekend here in the US is the Memorial Day holiday. The "unofficial start of summer". Around here today it feels like summer. Just checked the temperature outside and it is 90 degrees. That is just too hot already.

I had some extra time to sit down and make a card.

My card today is for the challenge over at the CMC website. The challenge was to make a card that is mostly white with a punch of color. This is what I came up with.

The layout is one that I saw a video on from Splitcoast Stampers called a buckle card. It is a really easy card to make. The stamp that I used is an oldie.....1994 Stampendous Birthday Cake set. I thought with the hearts on the cake I would make it into an wedding cake. The set came with a little tiny candle stamp as well.

I highlighted the cake using my C1, C0 and C00 Copic markers to give it a little more of a white look to it. I also used some viva decor pearl pen for some of the icing.

I used two tiny roses from I am Roses along with some dried baby's breath for the topper. Also the little pearl sprays coming out are really pearl stamen. I added few pearls and diamond hearts to bling it up some. The papers are all stardreams except the one the cake is on and that is Cryogen white. I used a sizzix embossing folder on some of the white.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look. Have a great weekend everyone.

Outside the box.......for me

Happy Wednesday to All,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I know there was a lot a severe weather across the US. I hope everyone is safe as well as their loved ones.

My card today is one that I have done for the Challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencils blog. The Challenge was distressing. I have to tell you this was really outside the box for me. I don't normally do distressing on my cards. Not sure why. I just don't think I do as well with it as other do.

I have colored this little guy using my Copic markers. For anyone who knows me, blues are not a color I use much. I was very happy with the way his shirt came out. I like this color blue.

The DP is from Basic Grey's Pyrus collection. It had a good bit of distressing on it already. I added some more.

I was looking for some ribbon the other day to make a bow for some flowers and came across this spool of ribbon that I have had for ages and thought oh how perfect Taylor's Chicken Farm. It already had a distressed feel (could be cause it is so old) but I added a little more with some distress ink.

Added some brads to the top right and lower left corners just because. The layout is a Splitcoast Stampers Sketch S332.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

It's all about the circles......

Happy Friday to you,

My card that I have done is with a Kenny K image. She is called Queens Cutie. She is so cute.

She is colored with my copic markers. I highlighted a little with some Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The bench is a digi image from CC Designs.

Ok, lets talk circles. Do you think there are enough on this card?
It's a little hard to see but the pink DP paper has tiny white dots on it. The paper is by Imaginisce, the Enchanted collection. It is the strip running on the left side and one of the punched circles. The green part of the DP paper that is by Making Memories has been embossed with an embossing folder using my Cuttlebug. The little blue embellishments are really little round colored paper clips and I added a silver stud to the bottom of each. Last but not least the 3 circles that I used a punch to create.

She is popped up on some foam tape. A piece of ribbon is running along the left side as well. It took a number of tries getting these photos taken. After changing my lighting around I think I was able to finally capture the "Navy" blue cardstock. Boy was that a challenge. They kept coming out to be black.

Over all I was pretty pleased with how the card came out. Just a fun card to send to someone that you just want to say "Hi" to.

I am entering this into the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge as well as the DT call. The challenged called for using Die Cuts or Punches. Nothing real fancy but it's all about the circles.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Here Comes Summer!

Hi There and Happy middle to the week.

Ok, well summer coming not really but it is getting up there is temperature around here. The weather report is saying 90 degrees on Tuesday. YUCK.... I am not a summer person.

I created my card below for the DP2 Challenge this week which is "Here comes summer".

This is one of the first stamps that I purchased from Mo's when I found her site last year. I just love this image.

Her name is Lacey.

I have colored her using copic markers. She has a little bling on her outfit and glasses.

The layout is an old Splitcoast stampers sketch.

The DP is K and Company Citronella. I used X-Press copic paper this time. I wanted that nice crisp white.

I added a few brads that I have in my collection.

The ribbon is from Target. I think it fits perfect for this card.

I hope you liked the card and thanks for stopping by.

Update: Didn't make it in time. While I was typing this up the challenge ended. Oh well next time.

Waiting For.......

Happy Monday Everyone,

We have a rainy week ahead of us so the weather report says.

My card today is for the SCACD Friends with Heart challenge. This challenge was to have something on your card that was paper pieced. Well let me just say this card was a challenge in more ways than one. I was determined to "save" it. The little girl and wall are pieced on top of the window due to a big boo boo. The "real" paper piecing is her dress, shoes and hair bows. Even the layout gave me grief. LOL

The image is and exclusive by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. She is from the Peekers line called waiting for you.

This stamp could be used for a number of different cards from Missing You to Can't Wait to See You.

I colored her with copics. The papers are by Imaginisce. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added a little stickles to the flowers.

Stop by SCACD Friends with Heart blog. Lot of fun things over there.

Summer Fun

Hi there,

Hope everyone is having a good week. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th Yuck.....Don't think I will post tomorrow just in case LOL.

This is a card that I entered into the CMC challenge this week.
Doesn't this card just say SUMMER?

The papers are by K and Company called Citronella. I have colored the image using Copic's. The layout is an old Splitcoast Stamper sketch.

The ribbon is from Targets $1 bin except I got it at the end of last summer season and all of their $1 summer items were 25 cents. I think you got 4 or 5 ribbons in each pack. Worked out so well for this card.

The brads are some that I have had in my collection for a long time.

I have to say I am doing well with keeping up with my resolution to try and use something old from my collection on each of my cards.

When they first posted this challenge, I thought oh boy. I am out of this one. But I looked through my digi's and sure enough I had about 5 to pick from. Because so many of the digi stamp makers are generous with their freebies, when I first started getting into the digi's I had downloaded a lot some of which I forgot about.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Cupcake Box with Marci

Happy Wednesday,

This is something I made just because it was fun. This is made with a Cupcake Box pattern that is made by Darci's. I bought it at convention a number of years ago.

I have covered the box with a DP by Brenda Walton. The sweet image is Marci by La La Land Crafts. She has just whipped up a cupcake for the box... well it's a little small but you get the idea.

I added some sheer scarf ribbon that I got at The Christmas Tree shop. It is really pretty. I have put it around the box and some behind Marci.

A few Wild Orchid Crafts roses and some skeleton leaves that I have had forever was added to the top of the box below Marci. A few butterflies punched out with my Martha Stewart punch were added around the top of the box.

I hope you like my little cupcake box.

Monochromatic

Well hi there everyone,

My card today is made with a Mo's Digital Pencil Too image. This card is done for her challenge this week which is to make a card that is monochromatic. I decided to make mine in the vintage brown look.

This was fun. I love this image. It makes you want to go and buy some cotton candy LOL.

I have colored the little girl with my copics all in the "E" colors. The DP in the circle is by Melissa Frances. The other paper is some very very old paper from my collection.

The flowers I used distressed ink on to give them the vintage feels too.

There is a little bit of Martha Stewart ribbon on the card. It's a little hard to see.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and checking out my card today.

Big Sister

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today. My card today is for a little girl that just became a Big Sister. Little Vivian became a big sister to baby Charlotte. I thought this image was perfect for this card. It is an Elisabeth Bell image sold exclusively by SCACD.

She is colored with copics using a technique I learned in one of Suzanne Dean's on line classes on how to use your copics to create pastel colors.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch. Added some flowers with pearls in the center of them. The lace is some that I picked up at A. C. Moore.

Hope you enjoyed the card.

Brown and Orange Challenge

Hi There,

Today's card is for Challenge over at The Outlawz. This is for their Color Challenge. This was a challenge to make something with Brown and Orange and it not end up being halloween looking.

It was difficult to get a good picture to show the orange. The bow on her dress is a burnt orange as well as some of the flowers in the DP paper. The stamp is Darling Marci by La La Land Crafts. Isn't she cute? I have colored her with my copic. The DP is by Basic Grey. I added a little twine to give a little extra.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Proud New Mom

Happy Saturday,

I had a chance to make a few cards. This is for a very special person. She just became a Mom for the second time. She had another little girl. Her name is Charlotte.

The image is from The Paper Shelter. The "Baby" stamp is made by Studio G.
I have colored her with my Copic markers and the "Baby" stamp is embossed with cotton candy embossing powder.

The DP is Imaginisce Enchanted. I am really get a lot of use out of that paper stack.

I have added a ribbon from my collection and a little bling under "Baby".

This is a really cute image and was fun to color.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

The Outlawz Monday challenge The card needed to be Mother's Day or Girl card. What better of a card then one for a new mom.
The Paper Shelter Challenge #12 Bling it up. The pink rhinestones and the ribbon added my bling for this card.
TTCRD 1st Challenge Anything goes.
