Daydreaming Peeker

Happy Saturday,

My card today is for the challenge over at SCACD Friends with Heart blog.
This little cutie is part of Elisabeth Bell's Peekers line that is available at SCACD.

How many little girls dreamed of being a ballerina? From the time I was 8 till I was almost 14 I took ballet and tap. I am not sure I dreamed of being a professional ballerina. Needless to say that was a very long time ago. I still have a couple of my costumes for keepsakes. If I pulled them out they may fall apart. LOL.

Ok back to the card. I stamped her on Cryogen White paper. She has been colored with my copics.

The DP is the Enchanted collection by Imaginisce. I have added stardust stickles to her tutu and shoes. Also the copic spica pen to the jewelery box.

The roses are by Wilde Orchid Crafts.

Added some pearls and a ribbon with the bow made with my Bow-Easy.

There is something about these little peekers stamps. They are fun to color.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

Fixin up something special

Hi Everyone,

Over the holiday weekend. I did manage to get a few cards done. This one is using a new digital stamp I found by The Paper Shelter. Isn't she so cute? This digi can be used for just about any occasion. Here she is making something for that special lady known as Mom.

I have colored her with my copics and did a little extra highlighting with my prisma colored pencils. The DP is by Bo Bunny. The flowers are some old ones that I had and added a little colorful brad to the center.

I am entering this into a few challenges this week.

Anything goes challenge- Challenge number #39 Pink and Brown.

Party time Tuesday- Challenge number PTT#13 Anything goes.

The Outlawz- Copic/Promarker challenge for April 22nd.

The Paper Shelter- Challenge number #11 Ode to Mom's

I hope everyone is safe and sound. The news reports and the pictures of all the storm damage is just terrible. My thoughts are with all those who are part of all of the devastation.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone,

I want to share my card that I sent out to family and friends for Easter.

This is a digital image from Angel's Landing. Their images are stunning. They are so detailed and they even have suggestion sheets on how to color.

I have colored the bunny with my copics. Two Martha Stewart punches were used along with some satin ribbon. I also made a stick pin out of some old jewelry making supplies that I had for years. The Happy Easter stamp is a Studio G stamp that I have embossed.

I have added Liquid Pearls to the center of the flowers. The background paper is an old package of computer paper that you use to be able to buy for newsletters and things but I love it. I had two packages of this stuff and finally used one package and have opened the second pack.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and spend it just how they want to.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

A Thing of Beauty Award

Hi Everyone,

With today's post...........

All I can say is WOW. I received another award this week. I am very grateful for this. Nancy from Crafting Passions was so sweet to give this to me. I really appreciate Nancy for thinking of me. Again all I can say is Thank you to everyone for making my 1 year blog anniversary a memorable one.

With receiving this award there are some very easy and fair rules to follow for this. I have to:
  1. Choose FIVE (5) worthy recipients and list them. Next to their blog name, give one reason why you think their blog is special. What catches your eye about them? What do you love?
  2. On your blog page, list 5 things about yourself. Include at least one thing you enjoy about your craft.

I would love to give this award to so many but will control myself and limit it to five.

1. Diana at http://wordbirdsnest.typepad.com/wordbirds-nest/. She has some very classy cards that she shares on her site.
2. Sharon at http://sharonskardzkorner.blogspot.com/. She has everything from cute to elegant cards that she makes. She has some really cute Magnolia cards.
3.Sara at http://ladylipz1.blogspot.com/.She has a little bit of everything, Funny,Sweet, Cute. Just about something for everything you can think of.
4.Linda at http://lindasstampingblog.blogspot.com/ . She does a wonderful job with all of her creations. I love all the die cuts that she uses.
5.Brenda at http://www.brenscraps.blogspot.com/ . She comes up with some of the prettiest color combo's. I really want to try some of her combos that she uses.

I hope you will take some time and check out these ladies blogs as they have a lot to offer other than the tidbits that I noted.

Ok 5 things about me. Lets see.....

1. I will be celebrating my 29th wedding anniversary in July this year. I have a wonderful and supportive husband that has put up with me for all these years.

2. I have about 320 sq feet of craft area that is filled to the brim but still pretty neat and organized. I love it so that I have plenty of room to do my crafting.

3. I watch very little TV so what I watch needs to be entertaining. For some reason I love the show Raising Hope.

4. I never really read books before I bought my Kindle. Now I love to read books on the Kindle. I am the opposite of some who say they have to have the feel of a real book or they like the smell of a book...Nope not me. It's on my Kindle or nothing.

5. I know 4 people that share my same birthday.

Thank you again Nancy for giving me this award.

Best Friend Blogger Award

Happy Friday,

I guess I should say Happy Good Friday.

A few days ago I was given the Best Friend Blogger Award by Pat St. Martin. Her blog is http://rubberstampingismygame.blogspot.com/ She has some terrific stuff on her blog. She has recently put up a really good tutorial on how to make a card that holds a little pocket pouch of tissues. She has many other thing up on her blog to be inspired by. When you have some time please stop by and check her blog out.

I have to tell you that I feel so privileged to have come across so many wonderful bloggers since I have traveled into the blogworld. I can't believe how time has flown by since I started my blog. It was just a year on the April 16th that I took the plunge and started the blog. Since then I have have "meet" so many wonderful people. I am very thankful for all the followers that I have and the comments I receive. It really does gives you that little extra something to keep creating and coming up with new ideas. Recently I tried my hand at video tutorials with my Hot Glue Gun ideas. Thank you everyone who watched. I have another "glue gun" idea for another video and hope to have that made and up very soon.

I have a couple of people that I would also like to present this award to as well.

The first is a wonderful lady that I have known for some time now. She is also a Stampin Up Demonstrator. Her name is Jeri Cyr and her blog is http://cyriousstampers.blogspot.com/. She has been stamping longer than I have and that's a good while because I have been stamping since 1994.

Also to Diane her blog is http://inkymeanderings.blogspot.com/ She is out of the UK and her blog is full of inspiration. She does some beautiful work with Magnolia stamps.

Pat thank you again for thinking of me.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone.

Sweet Mischief Peeker

Happy Thursday,

My card today is called Sweet Mischief she is from the Elisabeth Bell's Peekers line that is exclusive to SCACD. Isn't she cute? She is trying so hard to reach that cake.

This card is for the challenge at SCACD Friends with Hearts. The challenge this week was to create something using 2 DP and a ribbon along with one of their images.
This DP is an older pad but I think it is still out there. It is by DCWV Nana's Kitchen. I picked it because of the baked goods in the background. The picture doesn't show the sparkle that is on this paper.

The ribbon is just some from my massive collection of ribbons. And yet I keep getting more......do I see a problem here...nah you can never have to much ribbon. LOL

I added a few pearls for accent and a little stickles to the cake icing. And she is colored with my copics.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the SCACD challenge blog.

Kenny K Download Diva

Hi there,

My card today is another Kenny K image. I love these. They are so fun to color.

I tried to give this "Download Diva" a little softer image. LOL I even made her Mp3 player a pastel color.

I have colored her with my copic markers. The papers that I used are bazzill in creams and pinks. The DP is Imaginisce Garden Party and the DP that Download Diva is on is from Making Memories League collection. I think it is an other collection. I received as a gift with purchase.

The larger flower is Recollections Boutique Fleur, I added one of my hot glue gun embellishment flowers to the center. Click here for my tutorial on these. The "Hello" is a Studio G stamp embossed with Zing white embossing powder.

I am entering this card into two challenges this week.

This is my first for The Outlawz and it is the The Lurkers challenge.
Also entering this into the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Hey Birdy Peeker

Hi There,

Hope everyone has had a nice day today. At least one thing it is almost Friday.

My card today is called Hey Birdy. This is an exclusive stamp that is done by artist Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

This is my entry for their challenge blog Friends with Heart. Their challenge was to use an image that they sell in their store and incorporate a least one heart into the card. The DSP though hard to see has hearts in it. I also added heart brads at the bottom of the card.

I have colored the image with my copic markers. I added a little light colored sky with my shimmer chalks. The DSP is by Prima.

This is such a cute image and was really fun to color. Of course I had to add a little ribbon too.

I purchased the set of 5 stamps but you can buy them individually as well.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

My First Kenny K Image

Happy Wednesday,

As the title says this is my first Kenny K image. I think I am hooked. I loved coloring this. There is just something about them. I wasn't sure I could really do this image justice.

Not much to this card. I colored her with copic markers. The Hello stamp is a Studio G stamp. The DSP is Basic Grey Pyrus. I just added a piece of ribbon to give her a place to "sit".

The photos don't show this off as well as it looks in person. I will be getting more of these images in the future. This was fun to color.

Thanks for stopping by.

How does your garden grow?

Hi Everyone,

Well it has been a day to create. It's rainy and windy. So I came up with this card for Mo's Digital Pencil Too challenge this week. The theme was How does your garden grow. This image is called End of Summer

I have colored her with copics. I added a little blue chalk for the sky it is hard to see in the picture but in person it is very pretty. The chalk has a shimmer to it.
For little butterfly I have added black stickles to it's body and clear stickles to the swirls.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Marci

Greetings All,

Well it did not get to the 87 degrees today. They changed the weather report to be only 76, well it went to 81 degrees. They were off altogether. It is very humid so it is uncomfortable. I just want a nice spring.

This card was a quick one a put together because I wanted to try my new La La Land craft stamp that I got. I purchased her through All that Scraps. They were having a clearance sale and they had two of the Marci stamps on sale for $5.50 each. Couldn't pass it up.

I colored her with Copics and paper pieced her dress.

I am really happy with the how the hair came out. I added a little Stickles to her shoes.

Have a good night everyone.

Bee and Butterfly

Hi There,

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. We took care of some yard work today. Boy those weeds really can grow in the winter. It is amazing the older you get the less work you get done before you are pooped out. LOL

Tomorrow the weather report is calling for a high of 87 degrees. A record high they say... No kidding this is April in Delaware. The norm is low 60's.

Ok, this was a quick card I did using a card fold I saw at the convention. I don't think it was anything new I just had not seen it up close before so I wanted to give it a try.

The image is by Karen Doodles. Mae from the CMC group had used this on her card and I asked her where she got it from and she said it was Karen Doodles and it was a freebie that they offered. The funny thing is I forgot I had this. So I went to my digi file and sure enough there it was. LOL

I have colored with copics and added some stickles to the butterfly and the bees wings. I used my nesties. The pearls are viva decor liquid pearls.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Moonlit Night and Convention video

Happy Friday,

Hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend. Today I wanted to share something I learned at convention.

This is a card I have made based on a technique that I saw at the convention that I attended in Ocean City, Maryland on April 2. This was my first try at it and it came out pretty good. It is suppose to look like a windy, snowy moonlit night.

The stamps are made by Seaside Stampin Ink also the sponsors of the convention. You can see the stamps in my video I have made of all my purchases from convention. The video is below the card.

The cardstock is navy blue speckled you stamp and emboss the tree and fence with black embossing powder. Let the cool just a bit then take your Brilliance Pearlescent Blue Ice stamp pad a run it across the card. With a paper towel wipe over the embossed areas.

Take a drop of Brilliance Pearlescent Moonlight white that you put down on something that will not absorb it. Dip your finger ( yes you get a little messy) and then place the ink on your finger where you would like the moon to be. With a clean finger you swirl it around till it is bigger and almost looks as though there is a faded ring around the moon. Then using a small paint brush you will paint in moon shadows and snow on the tree and fence. It really is a pretty card in person. If you have any question regarding this technique please leave a comment and I will try and answer them. It is really easy and I think you could try different colors as well.

Under the video you will find a picture of the card that the stamp company was demoing.
Here is my video of purchases made at convention. This was the first time I have tried recording the audio separate from the video. It's not too bad.

These cards were done by the owner of Seaside Stampin Ink

Wee Suzi

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Wow I can't believe it has been almost a week since I went to the Ocean City Stamp Convention. I went with my good friend Lorea.

We had a blast. Although when we were coming back from dropping some of purchases in the car and grabbing a snack I thought we were going to get blown away. All of the sudden the wind picked up. The hotel were the convention is held in right on the beach so the wind came off the ocean right along side of the building. It was rather funny. I can only imagine what we looked like. But we carried on and spent some more money. LOL

Members of the CMC Copic groups added our blog addresses within the group and on one of the ladies blog there was a link for Wee Stamps. She doesn't have a lot at this point but what she does have are really cute. They are digi's so I decided to try one. Her name is Wee Suzi.
I was inspired for the card layout by Splitcoast stamper tutorial called Criss-cross card.

I have colored her using my Copics and did some addition highlighting with my prisma colored pencils.

The scrolls are cute using my Slice die cutting tool. The flowers are some I had in my collection. I added a little stickles to them for some sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
